I first learned about the ZipShield on a local news segment. After one of the school shootings this year, my anxious offspring asked me if I thought their backpack would stop a bullet and I had to answer, “No.” However, after seeing the ZipShield on the news, I thought this was a way to possibly provide that little bit of extra protection. I went to this site, watched the video, and knew it would be a good idea to purchase a couple for my immediate family members. As well as possibly providing protection from the unthinkable, the cases have a hefty feel and should keep laptops/Chromebooks safe from general damage. If you don’t yet have a laptop to place in them, the ZipShield can still be kept in one’s backpack. While I hope my family is never ever in a situation to have these tested, I believe any possible protection is preferable to no protection. And until a better solution is found to stop our society’s “issues” (for lack of a better term), ZipShields could potentially save lives.
